Believe it or not, statistics show that the #1 influence in a kid's life is his/her parents. This is the way God intended it! The only REAL ordained youth ministers in the world are parents. The guys walking around with pagers and business cards who call themselves youth ministers are really supposed to be helpers to the parents. Youth ministries in the past have separated the youth from their nuclear families and from their extended family, the local congregation. We at Corinth believe in a different approach to youth ministry.

If the parents are the #1 influence in the life of a child, is it not logical to minister to the nuclear family as a whole instead of separating them at every turn. Our youth and family ministry is still focused on advancing the teens to a mature faith, but this is accomplished by including the families, both nuclear and extended.
